Please don't use commercial hair colors. I am learning the hard way that the only safe hair color is tatoo grade henna and it is very expensive and a big deal to apply. PPA is a carcinogen and endocrine disruptor.
If you don't mind poisoning your body, go ahead and put that stuff on your head and let it soak in good.
Do a little internet research and see what you find!
